biglang liko
As we move through life, we collect experiences that we use to help us evaluate future decisions. All of the roads and crossroads and humps and rough roads, we have crossed just to get to where we are now. Some win through, some are swallowed up by fear, some overcame, and some quit… and die. The lessons learned become chapters of the Book so called “Our Lives” (sounds like an uber mushy daily soap). Still, as we warriors go on, we are always stunned of what can come before our eyes.
As much as we fuel our power in this game of life, we sometimes spend much time on repairing the damage that we have incurred along the way. Some of us seek out work, hobbies, and vocations to justify our existence. Sadly, others choose the road of self-centeredness, manipulation, and thievery as vehicles to prove a distorted sense of intellect. I witnessed once on TV a story about a guy cruising a mall, shoplifting. When he approached the checkout counter, the manager went over to him and said, “Hoy! Shoplifter!” His answer was silence. It was discovered though that he was a wealthy guy. The question is, what happened to that man along the way to make him behave so disappointingly? I’m sure you yourself have your testimonies to add to this story. We have all met people like that. Weird.
In our society, the line between stealing and good business decisions can get pretty blurry. In life, it can get really hard sometimes to decide where that decision crosses over from being good business, to thievery, and the acceptability of society with that exchange. What lessons do we learn? Hopefully, ones that can help us tell the difference between the two.
The road of life has stop signs, fast lanes, curves and corners. It’s nice to make stops along the way….the trick is not to leave behind a piece of your soul in doing so. The energy that we use should remain as pure as possible, so that our engines remain clean and that we reach our destination safely.
Ako rin, I made a lot of STUPID mistakes before, and it really has to be in bold letters to express how bad it was. I didn’t steal anything though, but the logic was the same I chose to be a dumbo which I was not, just like the guy above he chose to be a person he was not. I used to blame everything around me then, I blamed everything from the Malacanang to the people around me and even blamed the weather. But then I realized that mistakes are just feedback of how I do in my life. Everything will just boil down on choices, we just have to read the signs. Drive carefully.

Aside (R-18 po ito):
When we were in college, two female friends of mine had this little conversation, about giving their hubbies a head. Pops (not her real name) said that she won’t have any hesitation about going down if and only if she really is in love with the person (she also added that both of them should be married by then). Monina (an alias) disagreed with Pops’ idea vehemently (Monina: yuuuuck kaya yon eeeeew!) and told the latter that she won’t do it to anyone even if their already a husband and wife, and EVEN if she loves the “receiver”.
Two years after college both of them married, Monina gave Pops a call.
Monina: Mare!

tama ka, i believe all of us do mistakes and stumbles in some ways. maganda lang tatayo kaagad ang avoid such mistakes to happen, tapos as long as natututo oks lang yun. ganyan talaga ang buhay, daming pasgsubok minsan bumabagsak, basta tatayo kaagad.
on topi pa ba ako, hehe. welcome back alex!

Hey welcome back Alex! Ganda ng bagong tirahan mo ah!
Iba naisip ko sa “biglang liko” hehe. Pero on stumbling and making mistakes, they are just way for us to learn. Lagi ko ngang sinasabi, it’s what you do after that’s important.
Nice joke on the last part. Hehehe
